Dreaming of a kinder tomorrow...
Speaking up for those who cannot

Dreamscape Entertainment Managing Director Jessica Constantine is a firm believer in animal rights. Over the years she has rescued and re-housed many neglected, stray and abused animals. Jessica says "It breaks my heart to see and hear of the horrible things people do to animals in the name of industry and often for no reason other than to inflict pain. When I recall how my own dogs were when I found them I feel so saddened knowing these trusting little treasures were treated so poorly. In my eyes it’s quite simple, if you are not prepared to care for a pet don't get one. On a happier note it fills me with joy to see so many wonderful people out and about with their pets at the events we entertain at. There are thankfully some incredibly loving pet owners out there setting a fantastic example - big hugs to you all.

Jessica's dogs Sausage, Porridge and Miliana....very loved

Dreamscape Entertainment proudly supports each of the Animal Welfare organizations featured on this page through monthly financial contributions to drive vital campaigns. Please visit their websites for information on the campaigns these funds are engaged in to help prevent cruelty to animals around the world. There are some horrific things happening to animals and these atrocities can only be stopped by humans. Just signing your name on one of the many e-petitions featured on these websites will assist these innocent creatures who have no voice of their own. We all owe it them to get involved in any way we can. As parents you can give animals the kindest gift of all by showing your children that the pets in our own homes are treated with respect.

We are passionate supporters of the RSPCA and we volunteer our services which include our talented face painters and fairy floss spinning every year during events and campaigns to show our support in the fight against animal cruelty. RSPCA events are special because it brings together so many like minded, big hearted people who bbelieve animals deserve a life full of love and care. Visit www.rspcavic.org for further info.

Dreamscape took up sponsorship of "Dogaid Australia", another brilliant animal welfare organisation which is solely run by volunteers in the advent of 2006. Dogaid is campaigning against the brutal practise of dog and cat consumption in South Korea. It is believed that the more the suffering endured by the animal the tastier and more tender the meat. The meat will also provide viagra qualities to man. This is why we want the trade banned. If the torture is stopped then maybe consumption will end too.

The financial assistance we provided to Dogaid enabled them to have an information stand at Pet Expo 2007 which took place at Caulfield Race course over a 3 day period. Dogaid president Laura Theresa reported a positive response by expo visitors and we hope now that the exposure from this event will result in greater community awareness, petition signatures and of course much needed donations. For information on this worthwhile cause please visit www.dogaid.freeservers.com

We are thrilled to be able to provide monthly financial sponsorship to the World Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (WSPA). WSPA leads campaigns against cruel bear bile farming in China, the horrific tourist attraction of bear dancing and baiting in Pakistan, as well as the appalling Spanish practise of torturing and killing terrified and defenceless bears in front of a cheering crowd.

Most of these are done for 'entertainment' purposes, which we think is absolutely absurd. Of all the ways bears are mistreated around the world, the medieval sport of bear baiting must be the most barbaric and most obscene. The setting of pit bull terriers against bears inflicts extreme suffering on both animals. The bears, with teeth and claws removed, are virtually defenseless against an onslaught of as many as eight dogs in one day. I'm sure we could all spare some money to help. Dreamscape Entertainment contributes on a monthly basis ongoing financial sponsorship to the Internation Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) in their efforts towards saving baby harp seals from the unthinkable in the name of fur, whales being harpooned in the ocean, and apes from becoming bushmeat. Amongst other campaigns, theIFAW is also fighting alongside Dogaid to end the despicable torture inflicted upon cats and dogs in the South Korean meat trade. As of April 2006 we are now donating funds monthly to Animals Asia. This organisation is on the frontline in many Asian countries, battling tirelessly for an end to the horrific Bear Bile Farming Industry in China.  Bears are imprisioned for up to 22 years in tiny metal cages no bigger than their own bodies and milked daily for their bile through rusty metal catheters implanted deep into their gallbladders.

Then there is the enormous, heartbreaking task of campaigning with various Asian governments to ban the inhumane consumption of dog and cat meat, during which these defenseless creatures are boiled alive or killed brutally by electrocution. The problem is huge, their suffering is needless, I appeal to everyone to lend a hand. Visit www.animalsasia.org for further info.
